Privacy Policy

HealthPlus is a personal health and expenditure companion app created by Tristan Thomas. This policy explains what information the app processes and how it is used.
Health data
If you grant permission, HealthPlus reads selected data from Apple Health, including Active Energy, Resting Energy, Move goal, workouts, body mass, and sleep. HealthPlus uses this data to calculate and display expenditure trends, activity needed, widgets, Apple Watch views, complications, and sleep rolling averages.
HealthPlus requests read-only Health access. It does not write data to Apple Health.
Files you import
If you import MacroFactor files, HealthPlus processes those files on your device to show summaries and comparisons inside the app.
How your data is used
HealthPlus uses your data to:
- Show total, active, and resting calorie expenditure.
- Compare Health expenditure against imported MacroFactor expenditure data.
- Calculate minimum calories today and activity needed.
- Track sleep rolling averages.
- Keep iPhone widgets, Lock Screen widgets, Apple Watch, and complications up to date.
Storage and syncing
HealthPlus stores app settings and calculated display data locally on your device and in shared app-group storage so widgets, Apple Watch, and complications can show the same information.
Apple Health data and MacroFactor imports are not uploaded to the HealthPlus server. Health exports are created temporarily on your device and removed after you close the share sheet.
Optional parkrun, Strava, and Wallet features
If you choose to connect Strava, HealthPlus sends your Strava athlete ID, encrypted OAuth credentials, parkrun athlete ID and event, result details, description template, candidate Strava activities, and sync status to the HealthPlus service. The service uses this information only to match your public parkrun result to your Strava activity and update the activity description you selected.
If you create a parkrun Wallet pass, the service also stores the pass runner and event details. Apple Wallet sends a device registration identifier and push token to the service so the pass can be refreshed.
Accounts, analytics, and advertising
HealthPlus does not require you to create an account. HealthPlus does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. A server-side connection record is created only if you connect Strava.
Data sharing
HealthPlus does not sell your personal data. Apple platform services may process data as needed to provide Health, widget, Apple Watch, Wallet, and operating system functionality. If you enable the optional connected features, Cloudflare hosts the HealthPlus service and Strava processes the account and activity requests needed to provide them.
Deleting your data
You can remove local app data by deleting HealthPlus from your device. You can manage Health permissions at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings. You can disconnect Strava or delete the connected-service data from the account page. This removes stored credentials, parkrun details, sync history, Wallet pass records, and Wallet device registrations associated with your parkrun ID. A pass already saved in Apple Wallet remains on your device until you remove it there.
